Aims of the course:
This is an immersive two-day class suitable for students wanting to try throwing in porcelain or improving their throwing skills.
Jilly is a skilled porcelain thrower. She will gently guide you through clay prep, ways of handling this body on the wheel and learning to throw taller and wider over the two days.
Students will be able to keep, and biscuit fire, a carefully selected piece. This will be fired and be ready for collection a few weeks later (there will be a small additional firing charge).
The small group size ensures plenty of individual attention.
Refreshments are provided. Lunch can be bought locally.
N.B. As always, there is no guarantee that pieces will make it through the firing process intact.
